Eve-Maud Hubeaux

A triumph for the artist was her stand-in as Amneris in the Salzburg Festival's 2022 production of Aida. Already after her successful appearances at such houses as the Vienna State Opera (Don Carlos/Eboli), the Liceu Barcelona (La Favorite/Léonore), the Paris Opera (Le soulier de satin/Dona Prouhèze), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Carmen) and La Monnaie in Brussels (Tristan und Isolde/Brangäne), Eve-Maud Hubeaux has been able to join the new ranks of important representatives of this repertoire. 2022/23 includes singing Brangäne in a new production of Tristan und Isolde, Gertrude (Hamlet) at the Opéra de Paris, Mère Marie in Dialogues des carmélites at the Vienna State Opera and Eboli at the Berlin State Opera. Important engagements in recent seasons include Amneris at the Savonlinna Festival, Carmen in Brussels, Eboli (Don Carlos) at the Vienna State Opera, Judith in Duke Bluebeard's Castle as well as Brangäne at the Opéra de Lyon, Baba the Turk in the new production of Stravinsky's Rake's Progress staged by Lydia Steier at Theater Basel, Scozzone in Saint-Saëns Ascanio at the Geneva Opera, the Handel roles of Nerone (Agrippina) and Cornelia (Giulio Cesare) as well as the title role in Lully's Isis, both conducted by Christophe Rousset, and Isolier in Rossini's Comte Ory at the Toulon Opera. At the Opéra de Paris, she sang the leading female role of Dona Prouhèze in the world premiere of Le Soulier de satin by Marc-André Dalbavie. Her concert repertoire includes Bach's St. Matthew Passion, Rossini's Messa di Gloria, Berlioz's Les Nuits d'été, Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Verdi's Messa da Requiem, Mahler's Symphony No. 2. Current recordings include: Lully's Isis (Aparte), Mahler's Lied von der Erde (Klarte), Franck's Rédemption (Musique en Wallonie Editions) and Saint-Saëns Ascanio (B Record). Eve-Maud Hubeaux was born in Geneva and first studied piano at the Lausanne Conservatory before beginning her vocal studies there. From the opera studio of the Opéra National du Rhin Strasbourg, she developed her international career. She is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the Belvedere International Competition (2013) and the 5th Renata Tebaldi International Competition.
