Fabio Capitanucci

At the age of 23, FABIO MARIA CAPITANUCCI won the competition at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto and was a member of the opera studio at Milan's La Scala from 1999-2001. Since 1999 he has been a regular guest at La Scala Milan, where he made his debut as Marcello (La bohème), Cavalier Belfiore (Un giorno di regno), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Lescaut in Massenet's Manon and Guglielmo (Così fan tutte). Over the years, he also sang there in Lucia di Lammermoor, Les Troyens, Il viaggio a Reims and Le nozze di Figaro.

His career has also taken him to the major Italian, European and international stages (New York Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, ROH Covent Garden in London, Bavarian State Opera, Semperoper, Liceu in Barcelona, Arena di Verona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Tokyo, Turin, Genoa, Florence, Palermo, Hamburg, Budapest, Melbourne). Most recently he sang Don Geronio (Il turco in Italia) at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Don Bartolo in London and at the Rossini Festival in Wildbad. In addition to opera, his repertoire also includes sacred and symphonic music.
